Parks & Recreation Logo

The Calvert County Department of Parks & Recreation had a logo that didn’t give much information about them. They wanted something that would showcase all the different areas of their department. My solution was a bright color palette of blue, green, pink and orange along with a friendly font to create a playful logo representative of the department. Each letter contains imagery related to a division of Parks & Recreation: aquatics, natural resources/parks, golf and sports.

The CCPR portion of the logo can be used alone or with the Calvert County Parks & Recreation wordmark. Colors from this logo were used in additional logo designs for Parks & Recreation divisions to create a sense of consistency across their department.
